dandruff

itchy scalp
stung by oceanic salts
i scratch
for pleasurable ideas

flake off and fall away,
ill ones —
become
angels on my shoulders

parched head
begs for new outlooks
eyeballs upside-down
staring at the sun

like child wise enough
to resist learning
what we tried to teach

brain nestled in the sand
exfoliate forced instruction
forget what i said
