Haiku 2

You left your imprint
Dry saliva on my cheek
I can't stop smiling

PICKUP STICKS

old man hands
thick with water
fast like hummingbirds
sometimes your hair
stands straight up
I laugh because
I love you and
it’s funny how
my caring
is so caged
then releases
in these happy
cascades like
the trippy, skippy
walks home
past all  the curtained
living rooms
of tired people
watching things

The trouble is in the land

It was a hate hoax
On a curse buried so so deep

But what’s that grin
As wide as victory
Seeing sweetness
With the bitter swallows fading
Out of sight
From the mountain top
That force stronger than gravity
Bending
A troubled land

The Host

Accepting guests
is accepting what you can no longer
hold within yourself,
every tic laid open,
the song removed from language,
here I am at home,
distilled of my performance,
home is where the magic happens,
where I evaporate,
become the vapour,
swirled into the smell vortex
between stair and bannister.
