age of high distractibility, world crumbling,
tiny humans' happy barks, cluttery
messes, visiting friends, partner's damn vicissitudes

amaryllis opening like a living trumpet
quiet roofless greenhouse in the yard
little laundry, little belly, dried greens
gathering dust, dirty car, retirement contribution

neck hairs and acne, eyelids sagging, short
bangs growing at my hairline,

instagram, not knowing what to say
to old friends, dry throats dry lips running
nose filthy snow solstice garland
wrapping paper stockings tasks
all in a row

if writing could help me recall
what is happening with anyone else
if writing could feel my feet
or open a space wound back to center
if resolve came from resolution
or revolution from resolve
