shoutout to Sprouts for having nothing that i needed selling me prepackaged pancetta like i don't deserve nice things. No one knew what bucatini is. This young, handsome cashier asked me if i found everything I needed i said no do you know what bucatini is he said no we both giggled he asked if i had a nice christmas i said yes how was yours he said it was okay my family gets smaller and smaller every year. he sounded so sad. I'm sorry, i said. i tried to hold his eye contact but he looked away. I wanted to cry lol I wanted to kiss him. "It's okay, it's the core group, and we love each other no matter what." And then he waved his coworker over to ring up my alcohol

  1. Wonderful accompaniment to my post-Xmas depression. The bit about diminishing families got me.

  3. I love this and also would like to note that bucatini is a cylindrical noodle with a hollow center that somehow makes it infinitely more delightful than spaghetti or linguini
