WHEN SOMETHINGNESS BECOMES NOTHINGNESS
radio chaos between stations
a song from somethingness comes on
something dances with something
who also dances with something
somethings switch partners, dance more
none of them go home with each other
then nothingness comes around
with a tall pitcher of mute black
stolen from tomorrow
the alarm rings cheerfully
nothingness bathes somethingness
on the dance floor
somethingness piles up
in drunken sleep
in drunken sleep
flowers pulled from the ground
old batteries in a jar
nothingness tip toes over somethingness
doesn't need a doorway
just becomes the walls, the room
the fluorescent interspace after
heat and shivers
and life
